I went on a hike the other day with 19 strangers. During our four mile walk in the woods, I got to talking with one of many fellow hikers, who asked innocently "so what fun things do you have planned for the rest of the summer?" I came up blank.
It occurred to me at that moment. I didn't have any summer goals. How could that be? Maybe I've been so wrapped up in my family and relationship craziness, I didn't have time to think about it. Maybe its my uncooperative work schedule where I've had to go in nearly every Sunday. But even before that, I don't think I had any plans. So now its time for me to make a summer bucket list, for DC and beyond.
- Go to a music festival/concert
- Fall asleep wrapped in blankets and a companion on the beach (I can dream can't I?)
- Tubing on the Shenandoah River
- Wine tasting at Chrysalis Winery
- Camping
- Go to a UCLA Alumni event
- Write in my blog, remember how to be funny again
- Yoga in Dupont Circle
- Throw a dinner party
The days are only getting shorter, I guess I better get crackin'!
